Plain language is simply, communication your audience can understand the first time they read it or hear it. Learn more.

As human services professionals, your role is to help, support and facilitate, not to confuse or impress.  Too often, we get caught up in using jargon or complex words to describe an uncomplicated concept.

“Keep it straightforward and simple”, I say.

Your message will have far greater reach to your colleagues and to the people whom you serve.
